Who we are

Welcome to Upcycle Birmingham, the city’s thriving furniture recycling business that helps people transform their homes with affordable, high quality goods.

As a social enterprise, Upcycle Birmingham is committed to supporting local people by selling low cost, second hand furniture that has been given a new lease of life.

It offers an exciting new way of buying items for the home – bringing with it a new approach to social and economic regeneration.

Upcycle Birmingham not only brings new life to furniture and homes, it brings new life to people and their communities too.

Upcycle Birmingham is the result of a unique partnership with Spitfire Services, who are committed to providing help, information and support for residents in Castle Vale and north and east Birmingham.

The Concept

Transforming used furniture donations from local people, businesses and community organisations.

Upcycle Birmingham offers a huge selection of recycled furniture and other goods allowing people to make home improvements that they can really afford.

It offers essential pieces including tables and chairs, cabinets, beds, sofas, wardrobes, as well as domestic appliances, electrical items and household wares. The Upcycle Birmingham shop & warehouse also sells recycled clothes, shoes and smaller household items.

In fact, Upcycle Birmingham provides everything to transform your home and it couldn’t be easier to get involved with the exciting service that has taken the city by storm. Upcycle Birmingham is open to everyone, but in particular we are keen to support local people who are in need of affordable goods.

In addition to collecting unwanted furniture and household items free of charge, and refurbishing them so they can be resold at an affordable price, Upcycle Birmingham has a number of additional benefits.
